Animal Jam How To Get Clothes

Animal Jam How To Get Clothes

Hey Jammers! Making cute outfits in Animal Jam can be a struggle, especially with thousands, perhaps even millions, of possible combinations. Most Jammers, myself included, have struggled with how to put together the perfect outfit that is stylish and unique. I have some tips that I hope will help you in your endeavors!

While you may overlook it from time to time, making sure your colors don’t clash is actually key to the perfect outfit. I find that it’s best to do neutral colors for the body, like browns and grays, since they look good with just about anything. I then try to match the pattern and/or eye color to the items I’m wearing - that way there isn’t too much color going on, and you can clearly see the items in all their beauty.

How

My favorite outfits are ones that stand out, but not in the chaotic sort of way. Outfits that really catch my eye are ones that use unique items, like maybe an exclusive promo, or something uncommon that you don’t see often, such as a cactus hat, or maybe some dizzy stars. Most people stick to things like spikes and top hats, completely skimming over items like these. However, I think some of them can look amazing with the right outfit!

Now for the moment you’ve been anxiously awaiting: creating the outfit. First, start by finding an item you really like. After you’ve got that, go ahead and try to find some matching items for the other parts of your animal. When you’re satisfied with that, move on to colors. Why do I recommend picking items first? Well, sometimes the item you want to use might not work with others, or you may find you have nothing to match at all! That’s why I find it easiest to play around with colors after I have all my items in order.

My final tip for when you’re really stuck is to walk around Jamaa! I love seeing everyone’s different styles. While you’re out, I’m sure you’ll get some inspiration from someone else, or maybe you’ll find the perfect item to complete a look on someones trade list!

That’s all for today! I hope these tips help you find the perfect outfit so you can dress for success! See you around Jamaa. Later, Jammers!

Fashion is all the rave in Jamaa, but, as lots of Jammers have informed me, sometimes it's hard to find just the right look (Sorry for all the commas, it's just my style x3). On these particular posts, I will be giving AJ fashion tips, cool outfit ideas, popular item blurbs, coolest outfit of the week, and more!

Alright Jammers, lets start off with how to make a cool outfit. First, take all of the clothing off your animal, and if it's easier, turn your animal white. This example is made with an arctic wolf, and yes, maybe some member items. But this is just an example.

Now, lets put some clothes on your animal. Start with a certain theme. Punk? Warrior? Princess? Totally Random? Maybe you don't know.. -says dramatically- Let the items speak to yoouuu! Go for a certain color range. What are your favorite colors? The outfit doesn't have to revolve around one certain color, but at the most, 3. Here are some examples:

Tips

Neat? As you can see, I used only one color in the top look, but in different shades. And even though none of the items I am wearing have any orange in them, I used that as the base color because it compliments the yellow, and it would look strange with a yellow base, creme bottom, and yellow pattern. In the bottom look, I mostly used one color as well (gray). But as you can see, she has a white hat on. That's why for colors, I used white as base. That way the two colors are distributed more equally on the animal, rather then the whole animal (items aside from hat, colors, and patterns) being gray and black, with the hat being the odd one out.

This is a perfect example of what I was saying above. The main color is blue, with a more aqua bottom to compliment the inside color of the wings. And then, seeing how the black friendship necklace is a neck item (obviously), she used black for her pattern. Over all a really cute and unique look! I love the whole 'bug' looking theme with the wings and heart antennae! And this outfit shows that you don't need to look rare to have your outfit look awesome.

Up next we have the most popular item of the week (in outfit terms). I know, I know, spikes! Spikes are one of this weeks most popular items worn by jammers. Look at the picture below, and see how many spikes (rare and nr) you can pick out:Shops are features in Jamaa that allow Jammers to purchase a variety of goods from Pets, Animals, and Dens to clothing accessories, den furniture, and den music. Shops can be found in most areas of Jamaa.

On the outside, each shop has a unique appearance, but most shops are accessed through the same interface screen. The shop screen includes the name of the shop at the top and the player's current currency amount is displayed along the bottom. Arrow buttons can be found at the bottom corners of the shop screen to navigate through the different pages. The standard shop screen page displays a two-by-three grid of six entries available for purchase.

Each entry has a price tag with currency icons included in its top left corner; the price tag is green when the player can afford the purchase, but it changes to red if the purchase is too expensive. Each entry also includes a picture in the center and when hovered, the name of the entry appears on a blue bar underneath the picture. Most entries can be clicked to reveal a larger version of it that displays more details, but the pet and animal entries will instead display the Choose a Pet or Choose an Animal screens.

The Den Shop, as well as its counterpart in the Diamond Shop, includes a preview button for each den that allows Jammers to enter a blank version of the den and explore it without purchasing it. While inside the den preview, the standard interface is replaced with a button to exit the preview and a button to purchase the previewed den.

The Accessory Preview is a feature that allows Jammers to preview a clothing item before buying it. The preview offsets the grid of items to one side while the other side displays the player's current animal, similar to the preview window on the Change Your Look screen. When the player clicks a clothing item from the store, it will appear on their animal in the preview window, replacing any equipped item of the same type. Along the bottom of the preview window are small pictures of the other available color variants, which can be clicked to preview each color. There is a magnifying glass button on the top corner of the preview window that becomes active when an item is being previewed; when clicked, it will display a close-up view of the item.

Introduced in 2016, the sorting button included in each shop allows Jammers to sort the shop's list. Each shop can be sorted by price, by name, or by date, and the sorting can be done either in ascending order or descending order.

The primary currency in Animal Jam Classic is Gems, which can be used to make purchases at most of Jamaa's shops. The secondary currency is Diamonds, which are spent almost exclusively in the Diamond Shop. In addition, Eco Credits are another form of currency that can be used to purchase Eco items from the Eco Shop.

Some currencies are only available on a seasonal basis during certain times of the year. These are typically tied to some type of event or adventure that is only available for a limited time each year. These currencies include:
