How To Style Animal Print Blazer

How To Style Animal Print Blazer

Oh, leopard. How I love you so! With the unofficial arrival of fall, it’s the perfect opportunity to sift through your closet and bring out all your leopard pieces. Although animal print can technically be worn anytime of the year, there is something about the fall that makes me so eager to wear this print. As soon as I laid eyes on this leopard blazer, I knew it had my name written all over it.

A few months ago when I had the opportunity to attend cabi’s blogger day (read the full post here) I instantly fell in love with this blazer when the cabi team revealed the latest collection. The print, longer fit and elastic cross details in the back were all too perfect for words. In this post and in the photo shoot below (more on that in a second) I paired it with black jeans and pants. But, if you wanted to make this jacket into a traditional suit, the leopard pants are also available here and leopard skirt here. With the jacket’s super soft and comfortable ponte fabric, you can easily take this blazer from the office to happy hour to weekends!

Leopard Blazer Outfits For Women (13 Ideas & Outfits)

While out in LA for cabi’s Blogger Day, we were asked what #FearlessStyle meant to us as style influencers. As you can see from some of the shots and video below, I chose “classically tamed” to describe my style. The English minor and writer in me couldn’t help but use a play on the “tamed” expression since I was sporting a leopard jacket! If you have been following along for awhile, you probably already know that my style is classic. However, I do love adding bright patterns, prints and trendy items to my look and “tame” those pieces with classic and tailored pieces. Whether it’s with the white tunic and black jeans in this post or the white pleated blouse and high-waisted pants from the photo shoot, these classic pieces compliment this leopard blazer perfectly. Check out the photos from the shoot and the video below! You can read the entire post on cabi’s blog here.

We had some family over on Saturday to celebrate Eddie's birthday, which was really fun. He had such a great time seeing his sisters and brother-in-law and Aviah had a blast playing with her big cousin. Other than that, it was pretty relaxed. I dressed pretty casual because we celebrated at home and well...two babies, so I needed to be practical.

As you all know, leopard print is a huge trend yet again this fall. I'm always a bit hesitant in referring to it as a trend because it really is more of a classic in my book. Just like flannel, leopard is one of the prints that comes to my mind when I think of fall fashion, trending or not. The great thing about when it

Trending on the runways is that we see more options, which is a huge bonus. If you were to ask me what's the best way to wear print, I'd say either a blazer/jacket and a pair of shoes. I feel they're both the most versatile. The

What I love about a leopard blazer is that it's the statement of your outfit, which makes styling a bit easier. You can focus more on textures and perhaps still with neutral colors for a more refined and polished look. This isn't to say you can't add a pop of color because you most certainly can! I chose to work in a pop of burgundy, which is perfect for fall, but a bold red would be just as pretty. I also love the idea of green and classic leopard, too. For a more electric, '80s feel, you can add in some neon pink with a pair of shoes or clutch.

To play up the fierceness of the leopard print, I not only opted for a burgundy clutch, I chose a croc textured one at that! To finish things off, I went for a pair of black suede pumps. Don't be afraid to mix various textures. Lay everything out on your bed to really get a better idea of how everything will work together before you think it won't work. Plus, a satin cami is always a good idea in my book ;)Just an overcommitted girl trying to keep up with it all.Mom of three, co-owner of Lemonade PR, sports lover and F1 enthusiast always counting down to the Kentucky Derby.

Leopard Sweater Jacket Outfit With Coral

Does anyone else feel like hibernating? Not sure if it’s the weather or the post-holiday slump but I just want to run home, close the door and avoid contact with outside for a week or two.

I was listening to this week’s episode of The Bitch Bible (definitely don’t listen if you’re sensitive about the F word) and never identified with someone more than her latest rant about needing time alone. She committed to taking an entire week to stop answering emails and phone calls to get her life right. I need that.

One thing I recently did to alleviate unnecessary work stress is turning off my phone email notifications and it’s been a game changer. Thinking I’ll write a whole blog post about it but until then, do it and see how much better you feel. I still check my emails all the time but at least I’m seeing them on my time and not being bombarded with them when I just want to call my mom back.

Fresh Ways To Wear Leopard Print This Fall 2017

Not really sure where I’m going with all of this but the whole idea of being so accessible has been on my mind lately. Remember when you had a home answering machine and people called you, left a message and then you decided when you felt like calling them back? I need that social standard to be the norm again.

Maybe it’s because I work for myself or more likely, it’s because I used to have bosses that would lose their ever-loving minds if you didn’t respond within 34 seconds (not even exaggerating… if you didn’t respond with the quickness they tried calling, texting, sending a carrier pigeon or straight hunting you down), but I’ve fallen prey to feeling like I need to respond immediately to everything. Lately I am trying to give significantly less F’s and treat each email or call individually. I mean, yes, sometimes things require an immediate response but 7 out of 10 can wait a couple hours.

I’m probably trying to convince myself to do this more than any of you but thanks for coming along for the ride. And oh, isn’t this leather blazer cute? Not really easy to hide out in but on the days you’re trying to actually stand out, this is the piece your closet is missing.
