Lee has recently trained Sammy, a rescue Sprocker Spaniel, to be a School Dog at St Andrews Primary School in Bishop Auckland. Here Sammy reads with children to promote a love of reading and spends time with pupils who have social and emotional issues, to help calm them and give them “time out” from their own daily emotional struggles. In addition, Lee also delivered a dog obedience after-school club to pupils and their dogs, teaching them to be responsible owners from a young age. Headteacher Nicola James says, “Introducing Sammy to our school family has been a really positive move. Lee has helped us ensure Sammy was well prepared for the role and that all risk and temperament assessments were made. Lee also has very well attended dog club, with members working towards assessment to become ‘Friendship Dogs’ for Wag & Co. Just recently one of the club members Lynn & Spud featured in Prima magazine promoting their volunteer work with people with dementia. From the early days of School of Dogs’ being primarily a dog behaviourist service, the business has gone from strength to strength. From the addition of Dog Agility classes and Doggy Day Care facilities; the business really has gone from strength to strength. New for 2020, Lee is promoting his new School Dog Induction programme and a new Outdoor Dog obedience class and the brand new Teens stars class.

I contacted Jamie after my dog Bailey began to show increased nervous behavior in particular when meeting strangers and new dogs while out walking. He was reacting to strangers coming to the house even some who he had met previously and I didn't want this to become an aggressive habit. Jamie's response was quick. Not only did he give us advice on behaviour he also advised on nutrition, vaccinations and harnesses. On his follow up visit he joined me on a dog walk so that he could give advice in action. Bailey is responding to the new techniques and walks have become a less stressful time for all. I would recommend Jamie to any other dog owner. We contacted Jamie for help training our 6 month old puppy and I would highly recommend his service. Jamie has helped me implement different techniques to combat training issues, all of which have worked brilliantly with our dog. He has helped me understand and counteract my dogs troublesome behaviours in simple steps, which certainly seems to be working well. Jamie has been excellent to work with and I would not hesitate to contact him should we need further assistance training our dog in the future! It is overall, a very worthwhile and helpful service!. We asked Jamie to come and help with our dog Alfie. Jamie spent time getting to know Alfie and our other dog Sophie. He gave us really straight forward techniques to help us help Alfie. Within a week his behaviour had improved and has continued to. Jamie’s techniques have increased Alfie’s confidence and this has shown is other areas of Alfie’s behaviour. It is phenomenal. Jamie is so in tune with understanding what Alfie needed and what we needed to do to improve it. Alfie now walks confidently and is very rarely distracted by other dogs or people. He is less anxious and it is amazing to see. This has in turn helped with Sophie not being distressed or reacting to Alfie. I can not recommend Jamie enough he is so helpful and takes time to make sure you feel confident with the techniques. He is also available any time for advice. An amazing service and person! Thank you Jamie!.

Staff are absolutely amazing here & so friendly! Been a couple of times now, and both the staff members at tumble pups on a Sunday are so attentive. I love that they get involved with playing with the pups and know when to separate them for time out. The floor space is huge so plenty of space for the dogs to run. Plenty of choice of toys and it’s so clean and tidy. Absolutely love this place! And so does my pooch!. Archie had his first Fun Swim class on Sunday and he was in his absolute element. Clara was absolutely brilliant with him, as were all the staff. He was unsure of the ramp at first but Clara made him feel so comfortable and helped gain his confidence, so much so we could barely get him out the pool then he even got a pamper to chill him out. Can’t recommend this enough! It made my day as well as Archie’s.
